So I applied under Game Design for UC Santa Cruz, and I got in, YAY! So has anyone else applied under this major?

A friend of mine applied under this major, got in, and is going! It sounds like an interesting major. My friend said it's one of the few in the country. I think he also mentioned U of Denver had that.

Would be handy to know java, c, and perl before starting the major. Other than that the CS programs at UCSC is great.

Is this major in the Engineering Division?

Can people outside the major take the game design sequence?

Do you get to take game design as a freshman or are there a lot of pre-requisites to take first?
