I'm pretty sure the prerequisite is precal. If you have passed the precalculus AP exam/take precal at a ccc, then you do not have to take the placement test. Any other math courses do not count.

let me note that if you have passed one of the english AP exams/received 680 or so on the SAT reading, I believe, then you do not have to take the english placement exam. However, I'm not sure about ccc classes.

"You are exempt from taking the placement exam if:

* You have passed the AP calculus AB or BC exam with at least a score of 3, or passed the IB Maths HL exam with a score of at least 5. (You must verify your score with your major department.)
* You have passed a precalculus course at an accredited two or four year college or university. (See the transfer credit information on the Mathematics web site.) Note: You must verify course completion with the mathematics office staff."

You are only exempt from the test if you passed the AP calc exam, or took a precalc course at a community college. Otherwise, you need to take the placement test.
