Room Assignments

I haven't gotten my room assignment in the mail yet, and its really ****ing me off. I'm so anxious to know who my roommate(s) is/are. I'm sort of nervous because I heard that some people who signed up for a double ended up getting singles or triples. Someone told me on facebook that they signed up for a double and got a quad. That would suck balls. I really hope I get a double. Has anyone gotten their room assignments yet? Did you end up getting the room that you wanted?

i havent gotten my room assignment either (for porter).
and i was told it was supposed to be released in july, so im also ****ed off as it is august 11 already.
but i also heard that since one of the dorms at porter is closed down, the housing office is having difficulty getting people rooms since there is not enough space.

When I was a frosh the room assignments came in the mail mid-August. Porter is housing fewer students this year due to construction - but they always had more beds than any other college so it's not a huge deal. Some lounges are triples and some triples may become quads, but there will be housing for all the guaranteed students. Don't stress!

I got mine yesterday and if you are in Porter, you might be disappointed. Almost everyone has a small room, regardless of if you said you absolutely would not accept it. Its because of the construction of the B Building, making it so they have to shove all of the students into A Building.
It sucks, but Im just thinking of it as an experience. So when Im older and I have to live in a small apartment, I can Just think back to when I had to live in a tiny little box my first year of college

I have a small double A-2something. I dont really know my roomie yet, she is not an avid facebooker like me..

Shrug, I don't think it's just that; there seems to be a huge influx of incoming freshmen this year. The university made last year's class do that whole online form thing, only to end up doing a lottery for the rooms...so much for preferences, and hello randomness!

I'm in C9 and got my housing info yesterday. Fortunately I got a double (my top choice) and couldn't have asked for a better roommate. Then again, I was extremely picky on my questionnaire..

yeah Im thinking its very random as well. People wanting substance free didnt get it, people who didnt want it, got it. So consider yourself lucky you like your assignment.

YEESSSSS!!! I finally got my room assignment. I'm staying in a double at the Rutherford house at Crown. My room mate looks like a bad ass. He's a little scary but we have similar tastes in music.
