| I suppose the post cards cost pennies on the dollar, and the investment may be worth it in terms of making the students feel wanted/welcome and make them consider going there. I know we got a kick out of getting them in the mail, and I think DS enjoyed feeling as though he was wanted. It was part and parcel of the big picture: inviting him to join the honors and leads programs, UCF students calling him to talk on the phone, the post cards and other little mailings ... they all worked together to make him/us feel as though this might be a good fit for him.
