i got my writing to got a 9 so my writing score was a 25 which is dissapointing because my SAT writing was a 610 oh we..
mizzxvii your class rank is #10?! do you live in fl cause if so you would be in the top 20% so you would be gurantee to a FL university. true your scores are low but your GPA is solid. honestly i think you should apply for fall and than see if offered for summer admisson. you will deff get accepted to at least one of them though.

Hey, you did good for the first time around- stop stressing yourself out!
Yes, my class rank is #10 out of 281 students. The only reason for that is because I go to a school with a bunch of kids that doesn't care about their education at all. I don't think class rank goes into play that much though.
And I do live in Florida, but I don't want to get accepted to ANY University... I really want to get into UCF! *Sighs* Why am I such a horrible test taker? D;
I wonder if there's any scholarships available for being in the top 5% of my class, lol.
Thanks for the encouragement! I hope you get accepted too!

omg i stress as much as you do lol like everyone keeps telling me ``shut up you'll get in'' lol. BUT thats true its not the university of your choice but im sure you get differnt options not enitrely sure how it works.everyone at our school is so uber competitive its not even funny.
Im sure you can easily find a scholorship for that. I am not even looking at scholarships though untill i get accepted somewhere cause that would be a waste of energy.
i hope we both get in. im just mad cause for some reason i can not open any folders on my computer and myucf pin is in there so i cant check y application status than again i dont need to check it every 3 hours lol. but as of today its been two weeks
*bites nails nervously*

UCF just recieve all my documents (minus my FAU transcript, which doesn't have much on it as the semester hasn't ended yet) last week Friday or this week Monday, hoping to get a reply real soon! I'm just worried about financial aid (specifically, scholarships) more than anything else, as my family makes over $80K, but most of it going to bills and whatnot...

Taylor- Have you figured out the UCF GPA yet? Your UW is kind of low, but I'm sure your AP/honor classes will help you out! I'm not stressing about it anymore... it's just pointless to stress about something I can't really control. I've tried my best (kind of) these last few years, so hopefully it'll work out in the end. But if I don't get accepted into UCF, I'll just go to another school, it's fine with me. Though it will break my heart!
Bonafide- Nice stats! I'm sure you'll get accepted for sure, and soon too! Try to apply for the honors program also!
I'm so mad though! I requested to send in my transcript and totally forgot to turn in like 40+ community service hours!! Too much going on these days, that I'm starting to forget things.

Well, I had my counselor look up the Bright Futures GPA for me, and they calculate the core classes- so about the same thing as UCF. I'm sure you can do it yourself though... There's also another site that calculates it for you, but I forgot =/

My son submitted his application 3 weeks ago and UCF had everything but his transcript. Our High School took a long time to send them out.Within a day of them receiving his transcript he was accepted. What that means is that they obviously review things as they come in as opposed to waiting for the entire package

Do you have to apply into the honors program when you submit your app or decide once you get accepted? What is the OOS GPA they look for the honors?

You can apply to Honors whenever you want, some people apply to UCF and Honors at the same time. But i wasnt even aware of the honors college until after i got into UCF so i applied (and got accepted) about a month after being accepted by UCF. If you dont apply on your own before getting accepted by UCF, theyll mail you an honors packet with an application if you're interested.
I dont think they have different standards for OOS students, everyone is looked at equally thru the honors application process. however, if u wanna get an accurate read how u measure up with everyone try converting ur GPA to UCF GPA which is done using only ur core classes, thats the GPA they go by when judging everyone so everyone is on a level playing field. What are your stats though pixeljig? The incoming freshman class of 2009 for Honors had an average UCF GPA of 4.2 and SAT of 1373.

OSS have a harder time getting in actually just like if a FL students tried to apply to NYU.
mathmaticain(sorry i spelled that wrong) while his test scores are a little low to the average student his grades and e.c. seem good so i would say apply fall. what is his unweighted gpa.
so this upcoming friday the 9th will be 4 weeks. they need to get my ACT scores!!! i think onve they get those they will admit me for summer. I have everything else in so hopefully the day afer they get them i will be set.
