Bonafide, My son received notification that he had received a scholarship from UCF about 3-4 weeks after being accepted. He received a letter in the mail and it was also posted on the myucf website.

so i called the ACT people and they said UCF had just recived my ACT score last night so hopefully an admissions descion comes soon

Just saw that I was accepted in my status on the myucf page and I was wondering how long I should wait before accepting, because I wanted to see if I was accepted by UF.

I dont understand where on the my.ucf page that you can find out if you have been accepted. Does it say it on the application status page?

Yes, gabriels, it shows up on the undergraduate admission status page. Should say at the top of it.

Chromeboy, you do not have to accept right away. You can wait until spring after you find out if you've been accepted to other schools. May 1st is a deadline. However, if you have any scholarship money showing up as being offered to you, you will need to go on and signify that you wan't to wait on making that decision. You are allowed to do that. There are buttons that say something like accept, decline, or "defer," maybe?

just to add to what zebes already stated for chromeboy, ya u dont have to accept right away. the deadline is all the way in may and u wanna first see how much aid each school offers you. additionally, its gonna be a while for u to get notice from UF because unlike UCF who offers rolling admission, UF just has one date to notify all students and its all the way in February.

Did you get accepted to summer or fall and what were your stats?

Well checked this morning and UCF FINALLY got my ACT scores!!!! So im hopin a 23 is good enough for summer.

Accepted for Fall '10

Stats were pretty crappy though:
3.23 Unweighted
3.69 Weighted
3 AP Classes(Block schedule)
Only 2 Extra curriculars- included robotics and First priority
1220 SAT reading/Math
24 ACT
Dunno if it mattered or not but I have vocational classes that I'm going to be certified in.

I'll probably just go ahead and pay the $200 fee since I know that I probably won't get into UF.

Your ACT is good though thats why. your gpa though is ok.

Depends did you apply for summer of fall for UF and also helps if you in state or OOS

Well, seeing someone with a lower GPA getting accepted makes me feel a little better, Lol. I think what got him in was his SAT score. Congrats!! Spots are going quickly... I should probably start applying now.

lol i just realised i wrote ACT instead of SAT my bad. i know what you mean i know 2 people who have already gotten in in my ap lit class. but mizzxvii YES APPLY NOW! even if your waiting for you new ACT i mean the worst they can do is defer you and than your like ``bam look at my new scores`` lol
