very nice stats. i think u have a great chance of getting in. those are about the average stats they accept people with so i think u should get int no problem. I would apply ASAP so you can try to get the honors scholarship. I'm currently a freshman in the Honors College so feel free to ask any specifics about it.

Are the towers the best place to live at UCF? I applied for the Honors college, and I have not been accepted yet. I'm wondering where I should apply for housing, since I will probably apply for housing before I recieve a decision for the Honors college.

It depends what you mean by best, thats always subjective and debatable. The cheapest places to live are Apollo and Libra, both freshman only communities. However, the chances of getting individual rooms are small, as Apollo only offers them in 5 person suites(the other 4 people split 2 double rooms) and Libra has none at all. Neither of these residence halls have kitchens. Kitchens, good person to bathroom ratio, and individual rooms are what make towers worthwhile and most of the honors kids live there so you can see them and hang out with them more often. I live in Apollo because Towers is pretty expensive. A suggestion I'll offer is looking into Lake Claire. Its freshmen only but actually has a kitchen, living room, and individual rooms like Towers. It just isnt as new or nice looking but dont me wrong, its still pretty nice lol. Its also cheaper. Next year I'll be moving to Nike or Hercules, they also offer the same set up as Lake Claire and Towers but only to upperclassmen. Hope some of this helped and hope I didnt confuse you.

P.S: dont worry about applying JUST yet. You may wanna wait to see if you get into honors which shouldnt take too long. I applied for housing in Feb. and got my first choice! I dont know if that was because most other people applied later and wanted other housing, or because honors gets some sort of priority. I think they try to give priority to freshmen for most housing if they can.

Thanks!!! I think I am going to apply for Towers housing as first choice and Lake Claire as second. How long did it take for you to hear back from the honors college?

It may vary depending by how strong of a candidate you are. If your great they'll accept you right off the bat but if they have their doubts about you, they may wait a while to see how you stack up against other applicants. Some people get in really quickly. It took me 2 or 3 weeks to get in after I applied with a 4.0 unweighted/5.4 weighted GPA and 1420/2050 SAT score.
