| Oh my gosh, I am thrilled beyond words. I really didn't think this was going to happen - I just want to go hug Ted O'Neill and bake cookies for the adcoms. Congrats to all the other '12ers!! Hope to see you there! And to all those deferred, hang in there - I know a lot of you had really strong applications, and theyd be crazy not to accept you RD.

| got in early action here, not sure if im going to accept it or not yet.
stats:
small high school in pennsylvania, ranked 2nd out of about 235, send maybe 1 or 2 per year to a top college- no top 3's or MIT since about 1920
my gpa was a 96.8
SATs:
math-800
cr- 720
writing- 730
sat math 1- 700
sat world history - 770
i know they don't claim to look at SATs very highly. i wrote a killer essay though that probably got me in. i didn't have a very rigorous curriculum in my past 3 years, but i was involved in a lot of sports. had usual teacher rec's i'd assume, say i'm dedicated blah blah.
for those who are in: whats looking good for dorms? im thinking Max Pavlesky- good location, doubles w/ private bath |

| I got in EA too! I'm still debating because I don't know about the financial aid package.
chicagoboy12 is right, the essay is really important. that's why the prompts are so random, they want you to HAVE FUN with the essay. lol, as if that's possible |
