Anyone else match with Questbridge or anything like that?

| Hopeful!
University of Chicago is beautiful in every respect.
Aesthetically
Intellectually
Socially
I hope to be going there next year.
We'll find out in a few days!
Anyone else hopeful?

I just got my admissions decision online, and I was deferred. This is what the letter said:
"We simply believe that more information concerning the applicant pool and your senior year is needed for us to make a good decision."
Does this mean I need to improve my grades in my senior year? I've had straight A's every year and my rank is 1 out of 500. What do you suppose they're looking for?

I got the exact same letter. I think that's the standard deferral letter, not a specific statement about your application.
I guess they just want us to send them more stuff, show that we're still really, really interested. There's a good thread on the main page of the forum about deferrals.
Can't believe it...

How can you request an interview? The deadline for regular decision is Dec. 15, but it won't let me request one through the online application.

I think that, if you didn't request one during the EA cycle and you applied EA, you can't request one now. I think they're only available to deferred EAers who requested them but weren't given them.

Well, on the blog entry they just posted, they said that if you didn't request an interview for early action, but now want one for regular decision, you can do it online. Which you can't.

@ erikjc, go to the Early Action thread in the UChicago forum (not this one). It's about 5 pages long now. People who have been accepted/deferred/denied today have posted their stats.

I was accepted also. I am pretty pleased, though really, I'm praying that my friends also get in.
