I was wondering if anyone knows how Chicago's merit scholarships are awarded?
I was admitted EA, but I was denied financial aid (prolly b/c of California's outrageous real estate prices), so my going is kinda contingent on some outside scholarship or uchicago's merit scholarships.
From What I have read and understand from talking to the UC is it is based on your application. The merit ones are unaffected by financial situation. So Based on your transcripts and test scores and sometimes essays they choose people from the mass who stand out in one way or another.
