| Conflict between signing housing contract and being on another school's waitlist?
When we went to accept matriculation and pay deposit, it said you must file a housing application, which is a binding contract. It would seem that this would obligate you for the entire cost of $11,000+ room and board. A problem could occur if son gets off another waitlist. The key seems to be "the period of assignment". We don't understand what this period is and are concerned about filing a housing application before seeing if he gets off waitlist at another school. Does anyone understand the period of assignment?
