UChicago with a 3.3 UW?

Hey guys, I just finished my Junior year and I was wondering if someone could tell me if I even have a shot at UChicago. It's been my dream school since my freshman year.

3.3 UW / 4.0 weighted
What's always dragged my grade down has been my math grades. I usually get high 80s to low 90s in all my sciences and humanities, including APs, but I've never seemed to be able to break out of the low 80s in my math classes.

SAT - I got about 2000 first time around, without studying, so I think I could bump that up to at least a 2100, hopefully higher, taking it the second time around after some studying.

SAT II
Chem - 780
Math II - 770

Honors Classes:
Geometry
English 10
Chemistry
Physics
Independent study Architecture

APs:
Chem
Language and Comp
US History
Biology
Literature
Computer Science
European History

Extracurriculars:
Four years of Varsity Cross Country - I'll be the captain of the team this year
Two years of Indoor Track
Four years of Spring Track
Intern at a local community college's computer program for kids - 160 hours
Three years of Science Olympiad - I'm a state medalist and my team placed 3rd in the state in my first year - I'll be an officer on the team next year (huge time commitment, upwards of 400 hours per year, I'll be writing one of my essays on this)

I'm not sure which category to place this one under but, I'll be attending a two week accredited summer-college business program at Northeastern University starting next Monday.

Your GPA makes it unlikely that you would be accepted. Your SAT is also quite below the average. Chciago's 25-75% is 1420-1530 for just CR+M. A rough converison to the 2400 scale gives 2130-2300.

So going off the numbers, your chances are pretty low, but there is always a chance. It sounds like you really want to go to Chicago so if you show that you may have a shot. I encourage you to applyso you don't have a "What if moment" in the future.

Good luck!

based off numbers it appears that your chances aren't too high, but I do know people with similar SAT scores/GPAs who have gotten in.

Take the SAT again, and aim for a 2250+... honestly, maybe aim for the 2300+. 3.3 is pretty low, but hey, never say never...

But then again, is your rank still high with that GPA? If you're in the top 5% of your class, you're fine.
