UChicago Interview??

How important is the interview to UChicago's admissions? I applied EA and I now have an interview in december. Will this count towards my application? If so, is it a determining factor?

It's not mandatory, but optional- which means that it isn't a huge factor in admissions. My interviewer said it's both "informative and evaluative" which means that it's equally as important for you to try to get as much information from the interviewer about the school as it is for the interviewer to get information about you. Don't stress out about it, but don't take it too lightly either. You want to find a "happy medium"

Okay, thanks for tge advice sunshinerocks!

catlyxmaster, it took a while for an alumni in my area to respond to my request so don't count yourself out just yet!

hey guys i don't want to hijack the thread but...I had an on-campus interview over the summer when I visited, can/should I still request for another one? Are the interviews given out based on requests or alumni availability? (i live in NYC)

@Jamesbond1 I'm pretty sure it says somewhere on their site that you can only interview once.
