Libby, thanks for the response, lets see if I can word my question better this time.
Quote:
Respond to Questions 1 and 2 on the next two screens by writing a paragraph or two for each question.
I think I may be reading too much into this, but do they have to be in paragraph form, or my I opt for something more...unconventional?

"Paragraphs are better than circles or spheres" - Austin Bean, Assistant Direct of Admissions ('04)

Paragraph-length is fine; it doesn't have to be an actual paragraph.

Hi Libby~I'm so excited to know that there's one AO coming to Asia=) where can we check out the exact info of her visiting? We dun have any seasons in singapore (summer for the whole year, how scary is that ^.^), so is ur august still considered as spring?
I have another question. Our school doesn't rank and our exam report is different from the US format (A LEVEL). Will incomplete transcript put me into disadvantage? Are the international students judging against the American students or other international applicants (from the same country)?
Thank you so much =)

From the Freshman applicant admissions webpage:
Scheduling an Interview

...Alumni interviews are offered all over the world. You may request an alumni interview by logging into the online application after mid-September and clicking "Request an alumni interview."

The legacy question is a tough one. I'm pleased to report that we do not hold spaces for legacies. Usually in the reading process, we hold legacies to higher standards because they should know more about the school.

There's a book coming out called "Legacy" soon that should ruffle some feathers.

Isabel is the international admissions counselor, and she only reads files from overseas, so she has a very good understanding of different curricula, such as A-levels, the French Bac, and IB.

She usually goes to Asia in April or May.

Hey Libby, thanks for the reply. I would like to ask that whether the admission result(for both EA and RD) can be checked online. Have U chicago sent out the broshures and booklet to international students already?

Unfortunately we won't be sending paper materials to international applicants. We do send materials to international high schools, though. We are going to be e-mailing EA decisions, but probably not RN. International students get an e-mail either way.

Hi Libby!

Since when do you not send paper materials to international applicants? That can't be too good. I mean, I know that you have most materials online but having the paper materials (brochures and all) is just a different experience- I guess you could say it's more inviting to have the paper materials (if that makes sense). At least for me, I felt that having the viewbook in my hands gave me much insight into the character of Chicago, more so than just looking through materials online.
