Libby,

I requested my alum interview a month ago, on the first day it was possible, but I haven't heard anything beyond the confirmation e-mail, and it seems like most of the people on this site at least have already had their interviews. My area is not isolated or anything. Do these things just take some time?

Also, I went to a leadership summit in the summer of 2005, where I earned a college credit. It was pass/fail and I really don't care much about the credit. All we had to do was participate in the program and write a journal. Do you need anything official from the college the credits went through? Or can I just not bother?

Thanks.

Libby,

Why does the online app now say that credentials will be available November 1? It said October 15 or something before. I really wanted to check as soon as I could, since I have a supplemental rec that was sent awhile back from someone that it might take awhile to get in touch with if it never made it. Can I call or e-mail to find out if things have arrived?

writ - There's a problem -- the request should go through in a few days. Try to request it again? Or PM me with your full name and I'll see what happened.

The reason we delayed the credential checking feature is because, gasp, we haven't started entering credentials. We're doing final testing on our new imaging system -- we'll be scanning all applicants and credentials, and reading online this year. So, even if you called or emailed, we wouldn't be able to tell you anything.

But do not fret. We will give you plenty of time to re-send something if you find that a document is missing. We will contact everyone who has missing documents that prevent us from making a decision, and give them time to send us a copy.

The rec I'm worried about is a supplemental one, and I'm sending another supplemental one, so you wouldn't know that it was missing.

hello

Hi I am a Junior and, as of now U of Chicago is my top choice. Is there an SAT2 requirement for UofC, for i did not find anything on the site. Also is there anything aside from the norm I could be doing to better prepare myself for the U of C experience? Thank you for your time.

Libby,

I haven't heard a confirmatory email reply for the interview, even though I requested it 4 days ago (on Sunday). I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. Can you tell me more about what's going on?

Thanks.

Hi Libby. I also did not receive any response for my interview request, although I sent in my request on 13 Sep and sent emails to asc-questions@phoenix.uchicago.edu and my admission counsellor. I wonder whether interview is available in Singapore. Thanks for you time ^^

I also have the same problem as viva0yue2006, except instead of Singapore, it's New Jersey. Should I submit my application without knowing who and if and I am interviewing? Will you find out anyway, so it's not a big deal?
