Biology majors...

Ok, I'm transferring in from a strong school. During high school I took dual credit general bio and then last year took two junior level classes and got involved in research. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to skip the fundamental sequence that majors take, because I am sure I am ready to move on.

I've E-mailed some professors and thus far the results are inconclusive. It sounds like placement tests are for non-majors only. I've been referred to the people who evaluate transfer credit, but they don't know what to do with me either. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

You need to deal with the advising staff. They are part of the undergrad Dean of Students office under Susan Art.

Go here: http://www.college.uchicago.edu/acad...irectory.shtml and start dialing advisors until you connect with one, then tell them your story.

The other decision maker you may need to deal with is Jose Quintans, MD. He is the collegiate master for Biosci.
