Libby posted to the blog saying that they are not going to be informing about the waitlist until mid-May (they have to see how many admits end up depositing, after all).

Behnke (enrollment guru) told the Maroon that he would be very surprised if they did not use the waitlist.

How is the waitlist going to work? To be honest, I don't know and I don't think there's any way to tell. From reading stuff about admissions from other schools, I wouldn't be surprised if the students who came off the waitlist first were ones with "political" connections to the University or the admissions office.

They might be going deeply into the waitlist. Making a deposit and going for sure are not the same thing when the difference over 4 years can be greater than $150k. It's agonizing.
