Sorry to throw cold water on dreams, but waitlists have always been a longshot. Better to focus on getting comfortable with your favorite choice for those you did get accepted to.

Remember, you have several more shots at U Chi: transfer, grad school or professional school..

I just received the call, about 20 minutes ago. I sent in an additional teacher recommendation, a letter informing them of my continued interest, and several new accomplishments.

hey cubsfan,

Did they give you anymore information, like you are one of a very few choosen off the waitlist? Do you think you fill a unique need, such as being a star tennis player or euphonium player? Was it your regional counselor who called? How long do you have to decide? Do you get financial aid? Sorry to be so nosey. I did the same things you did, but it doesn't always work out the same. Thanks for the info.
