UC is MUCH more highly ranked than Cal Poly by Design Intelligence.

Although both schools have coops, UC probably has many more coops throughout the country and even throughout the world than Cal Poly. I would bet that Cal Poly coops are mostly in California, which could be good depending on your perspective.

They also have a very, very different culture. UC has mostly midwestern kids with a smattering of East Coast folks. Call Poly has mostly west coast kids and mostly Californians. The culture, therefore, is very different.

Design Intel. ranks Cal Poly #6 in the nation and #1 in the western region, fyi.

I was being a bit flippant in post number 5. Frankly, I think both schools would be fineWith their coop emphasis, both school have a lot in common.

I do believe, however, that UC has a more national reputation with the DAAP school than that of Cal Poly.
