Transfering to DAAP if I declined initial admission?

So I got into DAAP for Industrial design a few months ago, but ultimately decided not to attend for a few reasons; I'm wasn't (and still aren't) sure about a choice of major, and th 5-year program is pretty expensive for an out of stater like me.

Anyway, I'm going to a cheaper state school in the fall, and I'll most likely transfer out into a design or architecture school; that seems to be a common link between most of my interests.
Would it be worth another 5 years to graduate from DAAP then? It just seems so expensive at 30+ a year, room and board included.

Any help?

If you have taken a bunch of liberal arts courses and some foundation courses that might transfer, you could reduce your requirements by as much as one year.

Be advised, DAAP is VERY demanding and difficult. If you are not committed to design, you will not make it.
