out of state scholarships

Is it possible to get both the Presidential Scholarship and the Chancellors or just one?

Hmm.... I don't think so. If you get the chancellors (top 25% of the incoming OOS class) then you're eligible for the president's scholarship. But that goes to the top 1% of chancellors scholarships. So unless you're literally one of the top 10ish students in the incoming OOS class, you probably won't get it anyway. I'm just glad I got an honors invite (top 10% of incoming class) and the chancellors scholarship.

When we attended a local accepted students information session last year, they told us that Presidential Scholarship recipients are awarded both scholarships - the Chancellor's and the Presidential Scholarship - C.U. Boulder Office of Financial Aid.

In other words, freshman/sophomore Presidential Scholarship recipients receive $10000 (P) + $5000 (C). In the junior and senior years, it goes down a bit, because the Chancellor's Scholarship is smaller - $10000 (P) and $2500 (C).

The Presidential Scholarships, however, go to an extremely small percentage of Chancellor's recipients - 1%, I believe.

Othermusicdad is correct. If you receive the Presidents scholarship you will get 55K over 4 years, 15k/15k/12.5k/12.5k. Whether you think of it as two scholarships combined or one really doesn't matter. D was selected for Presidents and we are thrilled. D applied for Norlin Scholars program and we are waiting for notification.

Did you get the scholarship notification with the acceptance or was it separate?

Presidential Scholarship

Got Presidential. It's $55k over 4 years. Got it with acceptance letter in February. Got accepted into Kittridge Honors program after returning a 1 page form (not really what you'd think of as an application). Hope this helps.

i was accepted about 5 days ago, after turning in the application in early march.

4.65 GPA, 30 ACT, lots of extracurriculars,

do you think I would be eligible for either scholarship?

if you get the presidential, its actually a combo of the chancellors and presidential. $15k + $40k = $55k
