I miss Snowboarding!! :( Chance me pleeease! :p

My stats are:
~3.55 College GPA after 3 semesters/42 credits. Had 3.85 before. (Just went down due to a personal reason, my friend died on the 2nd day of finals week... will tell them about it)
Hoping to get it to about 3.7 by transfer time/60 credits.

Major Biology and possibly minoring in Business or double majoring.
Currently at Hawaii Pacific University.

I have an 'A' average High School GPA from Sweden where I am from.

SAT/ACT : Not taken

'Unusual things':
International student, currently going to college in US.
Parents from India, I'm born and raised in Sweden.
Fluent in 3 languages. (Swedish, English and Hindi)
Also speak a bit of norwegian, as well as basic spanish and german.
Traveled a lot, seen every country in Europe and a lot of other countries around the world.

Financial aid NOT needed.

Dean's List every semester at current university.

EC's:
-A little bit of Community Service in US.
-Worked last summer at a home for patients with mental and physical disabilities, taking care of them etc.
-Soccer for 15 years in which I've had a lot of success.
-Tennis for about 12 years. A lot of tournaments, and placed very good/won several.
-Will work as a volunteer at a prestigious hospital(not that it matters i guess) this semester.

- May mention working at soccer camps and soccer tournaments.
- Done a bit of modeling but had to turn down contracts one time due to moving and one time because I was not allowed to work off campus, may or may not mention that, if I do it will be in the 'Resume' optional section.
-Other sports like surfing, snowboarding, golfing.. Will not be mentioned much.

- Been a volunteer Soccer coach for children in underprivileged neighborhoods in Sweden, 4h/week during all of 12th grade.
- Been a volunteer tutor/teacher in underprivileged neighborhoods in Sweden in 11th grade.

Big things: (in my opinion)
- Started a clothes drive in Sweden for poor families in India, collected several hundred pieces of clothing.

- Started a fundraiser in Sweden to help pay for medicine and medical supplies for poor families in India. Collected over $10 000!

- May be trying to raise money for a project where a person I know is collecting money to help deal with his expensive Diabetes.

Recomendations:
2 that are good.
One talks about me as a nice person and being persistent and motivated.

One is from my CHEM teacher, he says im a great student, top 2-3% of his students ever and getting one of the highest grades on the American Chemical Society standardized tests, in the history of the school (60/70, where 50 counts as 100%).

+ At least one more that I havent seen and will not see either. Probably will be good and pretty personal, teacher and I are really good friends.

From what I've seen on rankings and stuff, I feel like I shouldnt really have a problem, but I dont really know to be honest..

ALSO, does anyone know how good CU boulder is for Pre-med and research?? Thanks!
I really miss snowboarding so much I cried earlier today when I saw a snowboarding video :P Seriously, would love to go there!

Please chance me!

With a good GPA, strong recs, and interesting background, I'd agree you have a good shot at admission. I assume SAT/ACT would be required, no?

CU has strong biological sciences (especially biochem/biophysics/molecular biology), and would be a good place to prepare for med school. They have a well-organized pre-med advising office. They do not have a specific neuroscience dept but they do have a program (i.e., a consortium of investigators with neuroscience interests) and you can get a "certificate":
Undergraduate Certificate

Happy Birthday.

oh and btw, i didnt make this thread to stroke my ego or anything, i was just unsure, since i guess its like a state school.. well hopefully it wont be a problem, cant know, but i dont think itll be a problem

if you have any info or opinions other than this, i would love to hear since i dont want to be surprised :P
