Chances for the Engineering Program..?

GPA: 3.23
ACT:25
SAT:1710 (Strong Math and Writing, weak Critical Reading)
Slipped up in Chemistry and Physics with C's, but took all my math classes early, with Calc my senior year.

Also from NJ

Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but Engineering would be a long shot, and even arts and sciences not clear. CU goes pretty much by the numbers. If your weighted GPA is higher send that - CU does not recalculate. Re-taking SATs may be in order.

If you really want to study engineering in a mountain state, check out Montana State - you would have guaranteed admission there.

I will be taking the SATs again in October and I'll see if my weighted GPA looks more acceptable.
Haha don't be sorry, I posted here hoping for an honest answer.

You should also check out the CU website and figure out who the regional admissions person is for NJ. There are real people in these offices (even in big state U's) and they can be advocates on your behalf. It is worth getting to know them.

This sounds like a stupid question, but would it make sense to ask the admissions person what my chances are of getting in and what I could do to improve my chances?
