What are the minimum GPA and SAT scores to have for a chance in UCONN

Without sports.

Its really easy to look it up online.

I would say 3.5/4 GPA and a 1850 SAT

Honors would be 3.7 GPA (maybe) with 2100 SAT (Do not quote me on this)
With AP's, you can have a little lower GPA.

That is not correct.

I can give you some general numbers, but are you looking for in-state and out-of-state?

Somewhat similar question. My D was planning on taking the SATs in October but ended up in the hospital and couldn't do it. She is taking them in November. She has already applied and sent all supporting documentation. Her previous SAT scores were on her high school transcript. She has not sent any official scores from college board but will with the November test.

Should she let UCONN know that she is taking them in November? If so, how should she go about it? She really hopes to improve her scores and does not want her app reviewed without the new scores.

Thanks!

Last year 1% of UCONN's freshman class scored in the 300-399 range for CR & W on the SAT. 2% of the class scored between a 12 and 17 on the ACT. 1% of the class was in the bottom half of their high school class. UCONN does not report GPA breakdowns, at least in their Common Data Set report found here: http://www.oir.uconn.edu/CDS2009_2010.pdf

I would imagine those low scoring kids were probably scholarship athletes in one of the revenue sports.

I can tell you that you should not go by those statistics if you want to get into storrs with academics.

My highschool, which is in Connecticut said that a 3.4-5 and a 1850 is a good match for uconn. Naviance, the website that shows college information, reports a mean of a 3.6 GPA and 1860. 100's of kids in my school have applied, so it is pretty accurate. The branches are a lot easier to get in, and most people in the greater hartford campus that I know transfer to storrs their second or third year.
