Has anyone heard anything about FA? My son was accepted EA and has gotten scholarships but has not heard about any FA.

you can check for financial aid offer online on the uconn website

Ya, it's online. I think they say that if you don't check it in a month that you they revoke it. I could/still can't access my fin aid for them, but I'm probably not attending anyways.

Thanks for the info. I had tried to find the info before but apparently didn't read the letter they sent out a while ago. It was filed away...oops. Now, I am having a hard time trying to log on. I don't know if I goofed too many times while trying to set the secret questions. I have my id and new password but it won't let me get into the site again.

I can't believe they would revoke FA if you haven't checked it. That would be ridiculous. I have been waiting for info snail mail...not on-line since nothing else was recorded on-line i.e. acceptances.

I will try again later or call the FA office tomorrow.

I saw mine online. I'm very disappointed with my financial aid package if you can even call it that in my case.

Well it doesn't cost 42k a year even if you're counting room, board, fees, and you're from out of state. But I agree that it's a lot!

UConn isn't known for being generous with FA unless you're at the top of the class academically and, even then, the FA packages aren't that great. My daughter attends an OOS public on a merit scholarship that makes her cost of attendance less than it would have been for her to attend UConn (our in-state public) even after factoring in UConn's financial aid offer. That's pathetic.

I agree that it's pathetic...I'm realizing it more and more. You see, I'm transferring to UConn this fall for financial reasons. I currently attend a private university with a merit scholarship but it is still very expensive so I'm transferring to UConn basically [assuming] it's SO MUCH cheaper. But I was offered no scholarship at UConn and it costs a little bit more than I originally thought. So in the end I'm saving money by going to UConn but I'm definitely not saving as much as I thought I would.
