Would I get into honors?

I will be applying to UCONN this coming year and was wondering if I would be considered for the honors program and possibly merit aid.

Here is a brief rundown of my stats/info:
-White male from PA
-GPA- UW: around a 3.9 (not sure of conversion from weighted but WGPA:4.82)
-SAT-2120 comp 700 critical reading, 710 math, 710 writing
-SAT II- 780 Math II, 770 USH
-rank- 6/383 (top 2%)

Notable ECs
Student Council (or student body) president this coming yr
DECA 3 yrs officer this yr and next (2 times competing at national competition)
FBLA officer this yr and next
Interact vp or president this coming yr
Young Democrats co-president
Baseball 4 yrs, varsity next yr
Chester County Youth Leadership Program participant
NHS 11th and 12th grades
Spanish National Honors Society 10-12
Community service club 4 yrs
Between 50-100 hours of service

Im in other clubs and things at my school but am not as heavily involved in them.

If anyone could let me know if I would get in the honors program and/or get merit aid I'd appreciate it. I would plan on going for accounting and maybe sports management.

Yes, you will most likely get in. As for FinAid, you will most likely get merit aid. Other aid depends on your residency. If you are a CT student, you will get some for that.

Your aid really depends on your need, which is determined with the FAFSA.

I am from PA and am not sure about the need for aid. Also, do you happen to know if the sports management program at UCONN is good? I was thinking of possibly double majoring in that and accounting

I am (perhaps obviously) not in the program, but I have heard from those in it that it is an excellent program, it is rigorous, and the department has a lot of great connections with potential employers. For instance, a friend of mine in the program will be interning for the NFL in Canada next summer (or this summer, I forget).

If you can handle the double major, go for it. Accounting is accounting, so it won't really matter where you go.

Yea i have heard that as long as its accredited then it is fine. Thanks for the advice. Im actually going up to UCONN in two weeks so im hoping that it is more impressive than a place like BC or Babson bc of the honors and the lower price tag as well as the sports major.
