Thank you very much. =D But what do you think of the disparity between my english and math scores. On my transcript, english has consistently without a doubt been my top class throughout high school. However, I struggle in standardized tests because my english classes have been geared towards class discussions rather than multiple choice tests. For uconn, i think my sats are far enough above the threshold that this will not matter, but for more selective schools such as my reaches(Vassar, Oberlin, Bates) will this detract enough from my application to make it look undesirable? Also, especially since I'll be applying as a English/Philosophy major to my reaches.
I have one more question, is it easier to get into my reaches by declaring english or philosophy? I would think that english is a far more common major, thus philosophy is easier to get in. But, as philosophy is a smaller major for most schools their "seats" fill up quicker.
Again, thanks for the help.
