Accepted Honors Student who also likes to have a good time?

I received my acceptance letter from UD a few days ago with the information that I was also admitted to the Honors program. Though UDel is not my first choice, I'm thrilled! I visited for the first time today and truly loved the school.

I've received an acceptance letter from Muhlenberg College as well, and am waiting to hear from Connecticut College, Skidmore College, University of Pennsylvania, and Princeton University.

I'm interested to hear anything that would sell me on UD. Specifically, the social life in the honors program. Though I am by no means a big partier, my friends and I occasionally do. However, many of our weekends consist of movies and Just Dance parties, sans alcohol. Are there Honors students at UD who also enjoy this half-partying life?

I would say my daughter is a half-partying type. She does have a good time, but she also works hard. I am convinced that is the case with most UD students, whether in the honors program or not. There were a lot of honors activities in freshman year, particularly events in the Russell complex. But there was also a lot of time to have a good time on your own.

MEEE!!!! I always claim to have "multiple personalities". I go hard in the books, but I am your average teenager at the same time.

Like seriously. I love reading, Math is my favorite subject and super easy, and my vocabulary is more advanced than most of my peers. And I spend many weekends doing nothing but work.

But I love dancing, *cough* drinking, and going out too. I just don't do it every weekend like some people.

I am so glad to know others are like me lol. I applied to UPenn too! UD is actually my safety. Money (and decision letters) will tell me where I will go.

Yeah there's definitely a social life for honors students here! It's all what you make it. Lots of people go out on the weekend, and some stay in. You're not pressured one way or the other.
