Dorm Insurance Policy questions

Has anyone obtained Dorm insurance? My understanding is that with the dorm policies you can have a $25 or $50 deductible (much less than my homeowners deductible) and get a good amount of coverage for a good price. I would really appreciate any information if anyone has purchased one of these policies or has information in this regard. Also, aside from covering their property does anyone know if these policies have a liability component or know if that is even necessary. Thank you.

I took out the insurance because it covered accidental damage which is not covered on home insurance policy. Liked the low deductible also. Hope we won't need it.
