Unsubsidized Stafford loan
For an unsubsidized Stafford loan the principle is deferred but we are responsible for paying interest on the loan.

How do we go about paying the interest? Has any received a bill yet?

They (fed govt not the school) will send you a bill. You don't have to pay the interest now but it will be added to the principle, so if you can, I think it makes sense to pay it now.

My D is a freshman. Any idea when the gov will send a bill or statement?
