Uf Preview questions

What happens if you don't take the placement exams for Chem and Math before you attend preview? Do you take it there it they out you to the lowest option.

Is it a good or bad idea to skip these if your thinking if going into a medical major.

Also, kinda off topic, but do you really have to follow the steps for UFs internet out can you just come into the firms and set up wifi there?

You can skip placement exams if you have another way to show your level of knowledge i.e. AP/IB exam results or SAT results and place at the level you wish to start.

You set up your internet connection once you get to UF. If you have problems they have plenty of IT staff to assit.

Just take the placement exams. It will make your Preview experience a million times easier. There's no reason NOT to take them, other than pure procrastination. If you're going into the medical field, then it's definitely a good idea to take them. Otherwise, it's going to take you that much longer to complete your Pre-Med requirements.

Now, if you've taken AP/IB exams already for math or chemistry, then you may be able to get out of the placement exams. However, I suggest you take them anyway, just in case.

What about the 20 dollars you have to pay for the chem exam? Does it go to the dues and I have to party it there out can I pay at preview. Also, how long do the exams take and what kind if questions do they ask?

You must take placement exams to do math and science. You are not going to be able to get around it unless you already meet the prerequisite for the class. (i.e, take intro to chemistry to do General Chemistry 1).

There is no cost for the Chemistry Exam but the Math exam cost 10 dollars which will be billed at a later date to your UF account. You cannot "pay at preview".

To avoid registration issues, just take the tests. Otherwise, you may not be able to register for your classes at Preview.

For internet, you must utilize UF's internet connection if living in an on campus dorm/apartment. There are no exceptions and you must have virus protection.

Since you have indicated "Pre-Med", it is imperative you take the Math and Chemistry exams as those are key in any major related to Med school.

The tests are good practice and it shows you where you are in terms of knowledge if you are really interested in excelling in these fields.

Should I study for these tests or do a brief overview before taking them or is it better to just take them cold?
