What is dating like at UF? I'm starting in fall as a freshman and I'm kind of worried because I've never had a boyfriend before and I have no intention of having random hookups just for the heck of it. And also, is there a lot (or any) interracial dating over there? I'm Hispanic and I'm caramel colored and this is going to sound really stupid but I'm worried that guys (I'm attracted to Caucasians and I have been since like kindergarten) wont want to date me for that reason. I see white girls dating dark guys all the time but I can't even come up with an instance where I've seen a white guy dating a colored girl (I know it does exist, I'm just saying it's less common compared to other pairings). What do you guys think? I'm not super preppy and I'm obviously not a blonde bombshell. I'm kind of average really. Be honest. I rather know the ugly truth now than make a fool of myself later. x)

i know plenty of white guys who are into darker complexions. your skin complexion isn't a deal breaker.

Interesting question about the dating scene.
It's college so the stereotype goes that most guys are just looking for flings. I wonder if it will be hard to find "bf material" lol.

^^ I met my boyfriend of 6 months in a calculus class lol. If you look hard enough you will meet really great guys as well as the bad ones. Hope you have a great 1st semester at UF! Just don't get caught up to deep.

from what I've seen so far, as long as you're petite and thin you'll get guys. Even if you're a butterface! haha

Thanks for posting this question. I am on the same page as you as I have never had a boyfriend or even kissed a person. And I am heading to UF in the fall and am terrified of the dating scene. I just want to find a nice christian guy who will respect my boundaries...do these still exist? lol
