Recieved the SAT Score by Race- Race = 134 SAT points

The source is the admissions office....now when trying to determine your chances, you can directly compare to your race group in order to have a more accurate guess.

Average SAT Score of Applied (04-06)

Asian Black Hisp White Total
SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT
1262 1103 1167 1239 1216
1262 1093 1186 1253 1229
1234 1075 1174 1234 1208

Average SAT Score of Admitted (04-06)

Asian Black Hisp White Total
SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT
1326 1190 1254 1315 1296
1327 1195 1266 1322 1306
1318 1176 1263 1317 1295

Three Year Average admitted SAT Scores by race (04-06):

Asian Black Hisp White Total
1324 1187 1261 1318 1299

Three year SAT Range (04-06) of UF Admitted Students by race:

1324(Asian SAT) - 1187(Black SAT) = 137 point spread by race.

In other words, all else being equal, affirmative action punishes Asians by 25 points and rewards blacks by 114 points relative to the overall SAT average with respect to admissions.

Using the normdist function in Excel, I estimate that :

A 1324 is ~ the 93'rd percentile of all SAT Test Takers
An 1187 is ~ the 75'th percentile of all SAT Test takers
