im an international student in california and i decided to stay 3rd yr at my CC since i didnt have 60 units and got rejected from UCLA and UC san diego.

imma apply to these schools again. but since i have more time, ive been thinking of applying out of states as well.
i major in communication and ive found UF have advertising major, which ive really wanted to major in!! so im thinking of applying there.

but ive heard it is a really good school and is hard to get in (especially im international).

i have 4.0 gpa.
so far ive finished 3/5 pre-req. and imma finish em up by the end of this fall.

i didnt really do any ECs. (only thing i could say is i was on tennis team for my CC this spring and got an award for the top 12 in a conference.)
ive been thinking of getting on speech team and applying for internship/job this fall.

since i have no information about UF or advertising major (journalism and communications department), i need ur help!

is it better to finish up AA by this fall as well as pre-req?
what else can i do to get in there?

if you finish your prereq+AA in the fall, i bet you'll get in for the spring, apply before September

though its not from a florida CC, im sure with a 4.0 you stack up evenly with all other admitted florida applicants

as for ECs, when transferring to florida they are not considered..so only and ONLY gpa ..residency..and where your coming from matters...and as I mentioned your gpa seems to balance your situation out..(there are countless 3.8+ students out there planning to transfer, best bet is to keep your gpa 3.8,3.9+)

they dont really care about ECs? that sounds easier to me since i dont really do any.. yea imma def. keep up my gpa!

wait so if i apply before september, i might be able to get in for next spring? i dont have to wait till next fall?

nope, spring application will be up soon. deadline will be before mid september..and to be admitted to uf for spring you must complete all their prereq. done in the fall...otherwise you would apply for the summer A/C session which has a deadline in march
