yep, get that app in..i was surprised to see how easy it was for a couple of my friends(average gpas) to get into programs such as engineering...but if you dont apply.....

I am certain that gpa has a very high chance of getting in now that Ive seen the results.

I got in with a 3.76 from university to CLAS, the most populated college.

3.6 from santa fe is good standing

I would assume, but have no experience with, that Spring transfers are likely to have it a bit easier due to timing.

Im a CC student hoping to get into the telecommunications program. I have no idea how selective the program is though... does anybody else know?

Any idea when departments start looking at Spring 2010 apps? I sent mine in a week ago, so the initial review would be done sometime this month. CLAS deadline is Sept 15 but what are the chances a review and decision would be around or maybe before that date? Being rolling admissions I guess that would be a possibility. I know it's pretty early but it would be nice to know to plan out the fall.

xgraphite just imagine the longest possible time to get a decision, and thats when you will get ;]

no rolling admissions.
do not expect a decision before deadline, or the week after..or the same month.

I like FSU more than UF. I think UF is too big. I have already make my choice.

how important is pre-prof GPA? my overall GPA is much higher than my pre-prof GPA..my pre-prof GPA is really low

DID you meet all REQ?
seems really early to be denied unless it was because of REQ. (not even denied by college of choice but by admissions itself)

i think it was b/c my pre-prof GPA was really low..here's what it said

"We regret to inform you that your application for the Spring 2010 term was not among the limited number we were able to approve for admission.

Official notification and explanation have been mailed to your home.

We wish you success in your educational goals, and hope you will consider applying to the University of Florida as a graduate or professional student in the future."

before that it said my app had been referred to my college (Fisher School of Accounting)..so i think the college rejected me..not admissions themselves
