It would be cool if we both got into UF though! Keep this thread updated with what's going on Henry, I check it every day and am interested to see how it goes for you. I'll let you know about me as well. Plus, it keeps me sane knowing I am not alone! :P

Hey guys. I am fellow UF pending transfer that feels that anything could happen from here on out. I have a 3.515 undergrad GPA and a 3.781 GPA at UCF. I took a couple online classes one semester and it killed my GPA. I have a 4.0 on higher level courses and on all my Political Science courses. I made straight A's last semester. As far as high school goes I got my IB Diploma. I really have no reason for transferring except that UF is closer to home. So, I figured that it couldn't hurt to apply. Good Luck everybody. I will keep the board posted regarding my situation. But, I think it will be no use because I applied pretty late and will be getting my decision after most.

Well, now I have got into UNF and FSU for Poli. Sci. That makes 2 out of 3. Hopefully, I can forget about the other two and make it 3 out of 3 and go to UF!

for those who are interested.. i was admitted for fall 2009 into CLAS (political science) with a 3.85 gpa and 4.0 pre-prof major.

I called to see if there was even a window on when we would get decisions. They said it could be up to the day before classes start (which I highly doubt). That response was from the admissions office. For CLAS, I am unable to reach a human when I call advising. I have the ability to leave a message and that is about it. I know I still need to get papers about writing the essays, but I wish they would just send them! I need to know where I'm going before all my options are exhausted!

Wait, we need to write essays? How come I was never informed of this? I only wrote the two that were on the application.

I know for Poli. Sci., a letter is sent that had a form in which you say if you get in you plan on going there. Along with this form are two questions. I just know for Poli. Sci. this is true, because I have done this once before and was denied, then told to reapply (stupid changes in laws and budget cuts!). If you do have to write the essays, don't even fret about it. They are not very difficult and don't have to be very long. I think I wrote one page for each question. You might not even have too, depending on what major you applied for. I guess you will just have to wait and see.

So I emailed someone who has to do with adivising and/or admissions at CLAS, basically asking her when I could expect decisions to roll out.

Dear Gio,
Decisions will begin to be made very soon. You should hear something within the next 2-4 weeks. If you do not have a decision by mid-October, please let me know and I will check on your status.

I have been accepted to FSU, which is where I might just end up going, anyway; therefore, I'm not so anxious about UF anymore. But anyways, I hope to hear from them soon to make my final decision (if I have to) in a timely manner.

The application status webpage seems to be down at the moment, hopefully that means answers.
