From what I know it is just mailed. It is just a part of the process (if you have to do it).
Congrats on FSU Henry! I am in the same boat as you; just waiting to see if I am going to UF or FSU. I hope decisions are made before Nov. 20, because that is the last orientation for FSU (other than one the day before class starts). Going to FSU is a good second choice for me. They have a top 30 Political Science program.
Did you have an update on your status to UF? Mine still says the same as it has for the past month.

Thanks! Congrats yourself
No, mines still says the college will be making their final decision.
My orientation at FSU is scheduled for Oct 19, and I don't seem to have an option, do you?

No I don't, but after looking at it online, I called FSU. I was told over the phone that there are three dates of orientation. Oct. 19, Nov. 20, and the day before class. I am not waiting until the day before class, so I hope I get a decision before Nov. 20. I am pretty confident UF will have a decision made in 2 months. If not, I don't want to take a chance and not attend a school, so I will go to FSU. I don't know why we are unable to sign up for the second orientation; I'm sure the November date would come up after the first orientation date has passed. I wonder if more students apply to UF for transfer than FSU. FSU has a very fast decision making process in my opinion (which is good). FSU didn't have an essay either, which has to do with the time as well. Anyway, good luck again! Hopefully we will both have a decision by the start of November (both accepted hopefully!).

I applied to both FSU & UF. Of course, I'd rather go to UF but at this point any school is fine. I'm wondering if I should apply to UCF just in case. I've been checking my application status almost everyday and there is no respons yet...Im guessing most of us will find out in October.

I got into FSU today, and I only have one orientation date available which is the day before classes . I'm hoping that changes because it would be really hard to get into the classes I need with that late of a registration date. Still waiting on UF...

| Transferring for Spring
how do you apply for spring? im a sophomore at UF but my friend is trying to transfer here from FAU for Spring. We have a friend who spent a year at FSU and transferred here for Fall and plenty of people come in for Spring. Where is that on the application? BTW, he wouldn't be a "transfer" as in: having an AA.
Thanks =)

UF does not accept transfers from students with less than 60 hours of credit.

What top 30 program?! :P
Yeah I applied for Summer of this year. I was denied because you have to have at least two of your prereqs done to be accepted. It didn't use to be like that, but because of budget cuts it changed. I was taking all four at the same time, during the Spring term, so I was denied based on that. When I got my letter saying I was denied, in big letters, where the college puts comments, it said REAPPLY FOR SPRING. When I talked to the Admissions lady to see if it was worth waiting, she was told me you have a VERY GOOD chance of getting in (emphasizing those words). So I decided to wait a semester and take more classes at the community college, and it worked! I think I was pretty much in last semester, because I found out 10 days after the deadline this time (I was told I wouldn't know until Oct-Nov). I think they might of just flagged my application at the top or liked mine a lot, because 10 days for UF is a very fast and amazing turn around.
I AM SO HAPPY GUYS!!!! Good luck to everyone!!! I will keep coming back and posting as well! GO GATORS!
