just wondering how the transportation at uga is like and if it would be a bad idea to bring a car?

Depends on what you want to do. The campus is big, but driving and parking can often be a bigger hassle than walking. The bus system is extensive and UGA students can ride the city buses for free, so there's no need for a car unless you want to drive home a lot. I personally would recommend getting a bike, since then you're only 15 minutes and a healthy ride away from anywhere on campus.

From what people have told me, they said not to bring a car because it's more hassle than it's worth. There is enough bus transportation to get to places.

I somehow survived my entire undergraduate experience at UGA without a car. It also kept me in better shape...the hilly campus will definitely give you a work-out!
