You have great extra-cirriculars, so I would think you were in if you applied regular decision. Do you plan on taking the SAT's again? They're not bad, in fact I would think they're relatively good, its just that UGA has gotten a little more competitive based on SAT scores. Do you have an 1150 or above out of 1600 based on just critical reading and math? Don't answer that if you don't want to. If you do though, you are at the 25th percentile of what UGA lets in based on standardized test scores. Your extra cirriculars are great though, so if you could show that to them by applying regular decision, I'd say you were fine.

i did so bad, especially on math

but i've been getting a tutor and my math has gone up 60 points in one week. i already know my writing and cr will go up too. i'll be lucky to get a 600+ on all of them.

oh, and thanks for recommending RD. i was told to just do EA for a response quickly, but i didn't know it would be hella competitive.

Well, if you go for EA and you get pushed to RD, all you really have to do is write the essay and list ECs and you're competing with the RD pool anyway. If you get outright rejected EA, then to be honest I'm not sure you'd have managed to get in RD either--at least I think that's how it's supposed to work. It can't hurt to apply EA and have the essay written "in case," anyway.

EA is typically really competitive because a) the HOPE makes UGA really cheap for in-state residents, and b) there's no essay required for EA, so most people trying to de-stress will apply then hoping that they won't have to do it! I know that's what most of the people at my school did.

oh well if what SolaCatella says is true then I'd agree and say apply EA. I know if you get straight out rejected EA though that you can't apply RD, so if you think there is a chance you'll get straight out rejected then definitely do regular decision. Try and bring that math score up a bit, but to be honest your CR and W aren't that bad compared to a lot of UGA students. Good luck!
