UGA Honors Program for Transfers

I am currently a student at a small state school in georgia and have been accepted as a transfer student for the spring 08 semester. I am interested in the honors program and am wondering if my transfer gpa of 3.91 will make me competitive for the program. Also, for transfer students, does the honors program require standardized test scores or is the decision based solely on one's transfer gpa?

Thanks!

From the honors program website -
Students who transfer to UGA are not eligible for Collegiate Entry and must follow transfer admissions procedures. Transfer students must have earned at least 28 hours of graded academic credit and must have at least a 3.75 transfer GPA. Transfer acceptances will be determined after first-year and collegiate entry processes are completed, on a space available basis.

Transfer students must apply to the Honors Program prior to their first term at the University of Georgia unless they are entering UGA in the summer semester. Transfer students who enter UGA during the summer term will apply to Honors by August 1st for admission to Honors in the fall term.

So it looks like you'll have to apply this semester for the spring.
