Triple Major

Would it be excessively hard to try and pull of a 3x major between Biochemistry, Anthroplogy, and IA? Maybe instead of that anthro, a language? I'm really interested in ... all 3, so I can't really make myself pick two.

I'm coming in with 57 credits. Is it feasible?

lol my advisor thinks i'm nuts

if you're coming in with 57 credits (that fulfill requirements of any of the three), i think you could try it. why not? if it doesn't work out, just drop one. those are some really spread out majors though, so i doubt anything's going to overlap, and you might have to go beyond the 4 years, depending on what those 57 credits cover. what are you coming in with?

oh, note...just a reminder that hope probably won't pay for all of those hours...i think they only pay up to 150 hours, and with three majors, i think that'll put you past that. but don't take my word for it. check out the hope scholarship website.

oh...haha...and another thing - assuming IA is international affairs, that means you'll have majors in two different colleges. be mindful that also means you have to fulfill two different college requirements in addition to your major and core requirements for each major. so does that mean you'll get two degrees? or maybe three...biochem and anthro are in the same college, but one's a BS and the other one is a BA and IA is a BA...*shrugs* just thinking out loud. good luck with all of that! that's gonna be a hard workload, but if you really want it, go for it.

maybe you could minor in one? there's a biochem and anthro minor

Yeah, I think I might just have to pick. The 57 credits just cover every core class except langs and one social science. So I'm straight into major stuff. I think I'll keep the bchem and debate the rest. XD

You're just coming in. Take the classes and see if it's what you really like. It could be tough to do because I would bet your not only looking at different high-level- but different middle and possibly core because of the different schools.

You might run into scheduling trouble if you're not in honors.

I'm personally considering a double-major right now, but it's kind of necessary for my career.

What do you want to do that would involve these majors? They don't seem too related...

Do what you like- but be smart about it.

I'd check into opting for at least one of them as a minor instead of a major. Unless some classes overlap, it would make for one heck of a course load. And unless you plan on taking 18-20 credit hours at a time, it could take you an extra year or two.
