Classes

Do freshmen apply for classes during orientation, or online?

Orientation. Though I would advise you to plan out courses (and back-ups!) ahead of time.

UM Testudo | Schedule Of Classes

After orientation, you can change your schedule online too.

ourumd.com is a great website for planning out courses.
If you click on schedule maker over on the left side, it lets you plug in all the courses you have to take and any time restrictions and then makes up every possible schedule!

Thank you. I'll definitely plan out, especially since I have a bunch of core classes off because of AP/IBs.

When you do your planning, note that the CORE requirements will not apply to incoming freshmen. Instead, you will fall under the new Gen Ed requirements.
