Hi,

I got accepted (YESSS) today to UMCP and I'm thinking of spending at least a semester in the dorms. This would be my second year of college, but because I have less than 30 credits, I don't know if I would be classified as a freshman and placed in a freshman dorm? I mean, I know I'm only a year older than them, but I would prefer to room with upperclassmen if that's at all possible? Do any UMD students know how this works?

And another question, what is dorm life like there in general? Are dudes usually chill? IDK..

Hey Ricky,

Congrats on your acceptance!! I was accepted today as well and am also trying to stay in the dorms.

To my knowledge, housing is on a wait list so I wouldn't be fully expecting for space to be available.

In regard to your other questions, I am not sure sorry. I wanted to respond with the little I did know, however.
