^^ Sad truth is that the difference between you and the previous poster, other than your better SAT's, is the fact that they are a URM. They only offer these scholarships to everyone because the courts forced them to. Welcome to the real world my friend.

Just to let you all know, I will be helping out at the March 9th (the first one) interview day at the luncheon, and I'll probably be on one or both of the student panels.

Just make sure you wear a nametag that says "somebodynew"! How many interview days do they have? I assumed it was just one....how many students do they expect to come for the interviews?

Haha, if I remember. If not, "Ryan" will have to do. They have 3 interview days, with about 100-120 semifinalists showing up each day.

^ If you had a real good essay, they give you GemStone? My D will trade you her Gemstone for your Banneker/Key!

Gemstone is assigned based on admittance to honors and the responses to the niche questions about research and such.

Confirmed--I will be at the March 9 (this Friday) luncheon from 11:30-12:15 and on the student panel from 2-2:45. Three of my other friends will be on the panel as well.
