Direction to Amtrak station?

Would someone please post detailed directions from campus to the nearest Amtrak station? If by Metro, please detail which line and any connections. Thanks!

The Amtrak station is at Union Station in DC .. sorry, I don't have the numbers, but the shuttle that picks up at Stamp Student union and takes 'em to the Metro station---they just have to head into DC for Union Station. Hopefully, a student will post that has the exact #'s for you. Your college student probably has this info on a bulletin board on their dorm floor--and can get the info easily from their RA....and it's probably online.

D is heading out of town to visit a friend this weekend...she actually got the scoop from the TA for one of her discussion sections...she and her friends took their first trip into DC this past weekend, so she knows how to do it on her own Friday. (Of course, THIS worry wart mom made sure that all of her travel was during daylight hours....it is!)

Thanks for answering. That reminds me that I picked up a transportation brochure at registration this summer. I'll dig it out.

There's also an Amtrak stop at New Carrollton, which is on the Orange Line of the Metro (you can also get there via 495S).
