| Favorite Honors Seminars and Professors What were your favorite honors seminars and professors and why? I'm going to be a freshman in the Honors program this fall and I'm hoping to find out more information. |

| I'd also like to know. Specifically in the areas of economics, philosophy, and political philosophy. |

| HONR289Y - Novels and Who We Are, heck any literature class with Dr. Sibbie O'Sullivan
HONR248H - it's a class about delinquency and mental illness with Dr. Peter Leone...very interesting; counts for two CORE requirements
I hear HONR217 - Life, The Multiverse and Everything: Developing an Individual Cosmovision is a fun class.
There's a facebook group called "honors seminars" that you could look at. |

| My all-time favorite (not offered every semester): HONR268T - The Great Gatsby and American Culture with Dr. Cathy Barks. Everything about this course from the professor to the readings and the projects and discussion was wonderful.
HONR208W - Ghosts and Magicians in Performance with Dr. David Schlossman -- lit class, takes a good look at the history of urban legends, "scary stories", etc. Materials ranged from Hamlet to an excerpt from The Crucible to the movie The Sixth Sense.
I wish I'd had time to take more!! There are so many on the list that sound great. |

| honr238t: the body and literature - Sibbie O'Sullivan
I would take anything with Sibbie. She's pretty awesome. Take note though. If you suck at writing you probably won't get an A. I got a B, but I would definitely take the class again. It was that much fun. |
