Do you know of any good advisors in the college of education or in the english department. Also, do you get to choose your advisor, how does this all work?
The advisors in the English department are all good. You don't really get to pick your advisor, usually you're assigned one and you either can go to that person all the time (by making appointments) or do walk-in hours. I usually do walk-in hours because I never know when I'm going to be free for advising. I think I've seen all of the advisors--they're pretty good.
Jessica Bancroft in the Education department is really nice.
