Mamalot,

If you look at the thread on the U. Miami forum titled BM in Music Theatre, a mom of a U.M. student mentioned that there were 8 BM students and 8 BFA students in her son's class. That would mean that U.M. accepts around 8 boys into their MT program each year. U.M. does not have rolling admission - very few of the small MT programs do. The faculty want to see all of the kids' audiitons before making their selections.

Thank you.
He's on about it, but heck, unless he gets a whopper doodle of a scholarship, that's out of our league financially.
It's got some elements he really, really likes, though.
Hope they like him!

The former dean of the Frost School said that they were more concerned with the student's ability to do the work than with the scores they present. It's not used as a culling tool so much as a guideline of the student's chance for success and it's different, so she implied in a sense, for acting students than, for example, engineers. Hooray for BRENDAN!

I mean, how many people even audition FOR the bm and bfas? IS it like carnegie mellon where over 1000+ people audition for like 8 spots, or...is it like indiana where maybe 350-400 people audition ? OR even smaller haha. I would just think the competition would be absolutely astronomical if it was like cmu lol.
