lots of homework

Is anybody else feeling a little overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to get done? I certainly am about next week's load. I have six Spanish journals due on Monday, a history paper due on Tuesday, most of my personal share of a group presentation due Tuesday for when we meet again, a response paper due on Wednesday, a statistics homework page due on Thursday, and a huge packet of Spanish homework due on Friday. Oh, next week is going to be fun. I can see it already. (Luckily, I already started the history paper and am planning on starting the journals tomorrow.) However, I love it here so I'm all right. I can hack it (hopefully). I'm just venting.

I've heard the same from my friends at UM. The coursework is tough, but it's manageable.

lol... One of my friends keeps telling me that. I should listen to him. However, I can be a stubborn one.

Right now, I'm only taking four classes (sixteen credits), but I think I may lower it to fourteen or twelve credits next semester. I also think I may try to get a four day week. (It's torture when your friends are done Thursday afternoon, and you have to wait another day before you can relax somewhat. I actually tried getting that this semester, but it didn't work out for me.) One more thing that I'm going to go for is having no classes that start after two or three in the afternoon. (Right now, I have a class that starts at four. I like the class, but I don't like the time.)

I also suggest taking classes back to back so you dont waste time. It might be a fast walk/rush trying to get there, but defiantely is worth it.

Yeah, thought is sucks to wake up early, i love getting done early too and having the rest of the day free/to work etc.

It is still possible to drop a class for a "W" that means withdrawl but you can only do that until November 11th then your stuck. I also agree with nihla that scheduling classes back to back is a much better option. Now that I just dropped one of my class (i'm down to 12 credits now) i only will have class on Tues, Wed, and Thurs!

nsdances,

Oh my... You have a four day weekend now?! I hate you! I was jealous of you when you had a three day weekend! Oh well... Now you can watch Desperate Housewives in the lounge in peace on Sundays without worries.

I know about the Nov. 11th deadline, but I'm not going to drop anything. I can hack what I have. (However... My advisor sent an e-mail to all of her freshmen stating that since we're first semester freshmen, we get special treatment with that. I can drop up to the 11th without having a W show at all on my transcript. However, after this semester, I can't do that again. For once, I have it better than you.)

Having a W on your transcript isnt the end of the world as long as you dont have like 5 of them

I know that. I was just saying that the W thing doesn't apply to me this semester if I was actually thinking about dropping something (which I'm not).

Yay!!! I'm making headway!

stats homework: done
Spanish journals: done
history paper: got a good start on it... planning on (hopefully) finishing it tomorrow...
response essay: got pushed back until the 7th

I think that I finally have this week under control! (Yay for me! )

I never have anything under control. I have to constantly keep studying chemistry and math, and then I get stupid English floating stupid busy work in my way before I can get to the real stuff. I hate college work!

Well, I guess it's not REALLY under control. I just know I can finish all the work which makes me feel a lot better. However, I just realized that I have another English assignment due Friday that I wasn't thinking about over the past few days.

_earth, right now, I really want to hurt you. Let me guess. You would have also registered for the following semester several weeks before I would even get the chance. Well, I just did it yesterday. However, I do like my schedule so I guess it's all right. However, I couldn't even pull off a three day weekend let alone a four day weekend. Grr... (The joys of being a freshman.) However, I am done at noon on Fridays and 11:30 am on Tuesdays.

My schedule for next semester:

Spanish 231 (one word... AHHHHH!)
History 212: The Renassiance
Women's Studies 240 (for the RE requirement)
Astronomy 102

i know someone who has class 2 days a week, tuesday and thursday. he goes to class from like 8 30 til 6, and then he's done. it's a full 16 credits, too. I think he's nuts, but he does get 5 days off, so i guess i can't argue.
