| Planning to apply as transfer
Hi, guys
I'm currently a freshman at Penn State and I've been thinking about applying to transfer to The University of Michigan for Public Policy. What I really like about the program is that you have such a wide-range of emphasis such as Urban Planning, which I'm interested in. I'm currently on an Education and PP track here at Penn State.
I really like it here and I love how my current school makes you take an internship at least once in order to even graduate with this degree. Also, Penn State's degree is a BS, while Michigan is a BA. Is there THAT much of a difference here?
Michigan also has a dual degree program in which I could potentially earn my MA and MPP. I really just like the sound of this program here.
I have a 3.73 gpa for fall and my spring will similar or higher. Am I on track as a prospective transfer student? I didn't do too bad in high school, but I wasn't great. I had a 3.34 gpa and a 27 ACT score. I'm definitely not trying to slack this time around...ever! Just some quick insights would be helpful, especially from Michigan students themselves. Thanks!
